My Very Mini Guide To Visiting Las Playitas, Fuerteventura

We’ve driven to Las Playitas a few times now & it has got to be one of our favourite places to visit in Fuerteventura!

With it’s palm tree-lined promenade, black sandy beach & cute streets it’s a really lovely place to spend some time wandering around.

If you’re into dreamy coastal views, beachy scenes & relaxed vibes then we definitely recommend visiting!

So without further ado, here’s a quick guide to visiting Las Playitas, including how to get there, things to do, where to stay & of course some photos!

How To Get To Las Playitas

By Car

The village of Las Playitas is located on the coast, next to the larger town of Gran Tarajal.

We’d say that driving is the easiest & quickest way to get there.

We usually hire a rental car each time we visit the island & it’s nice to be able to visit more ‘off-the-beaten-track’ sights & towns.

Where you’re coming from the North or South of Fuerteventura, simply take the FV-2 road, turn off at the FV-4 road then continue on until you see the turn for the FV-512 road towards Las Playitas.

All the roads leading there are in tarmacked & in good condition – so no worries there!

From Corralejo: 1h15 mins
From Caleta de Fuste: 30 mins
From Costa Calma: 30 mins

Where To Park

We parked in this car park just as you come into the town. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beach.

There’s also plenty of roadside parking on Av.Juan Alfonso Villa. From this street you could walk through the Las Playitas Resort.

Alternatively you could drive further into the town as there are some on-street parking spots too!

What To Do In Las Playitas

Don’t let it’s size fool you, there’s a surprising amount to do in this little coastal town.

Whether you want to take photos of the summery streets for your instagram, go on a hike, chill at the beach or even play golf – there’s something for everyone!

Here are a few things to see & do in Las Playitas:

1. Walk along the promenade

One of our favourite things to do is walk along the palm-lined promenade that stretches along the waterfront. It’s so scenic & peaceful.

There are a few benches along the way where you can sit & just listen to the sound of the waves.

2. Chill at Playa de los Pobres

If you fancy a laid-back beach day, then Playa de los Pobres is the perfect place to chill out. It’s a black sandy beach with smooth pebbles – ideal for throwing your towel down!

3. Hike to Vista Soccorida

If you’re up for a hike, there are a few easy trails that start at the end of the promenade in Las Playitas.

You’ll get some incredible views from Soccorida viewpoint over the village, ocean, and the rugged landscape of Fuerteventura.

4. Drive to Faro de Entallada

Once you’ve finished exploring Las Playitas village, it’s worth making the short drive to Entallada Lighthouse.

The lighthouse sits high up on a cliff with even more great views over the coastline of Fuerteventura & out to the ocean.
