As you may be able to tell from the amount of blog posts I have written about Fuerteventura, it’s one of our favourite places for a spot of winter sun!
There are so many cool things to see & do on the island as well as plenty of towns & villages to explore by car.
If you’re planning a trip to Fuerteventura, here’s some inspiration for self-catering aparthotels that are not only pretty damn affordable but also super stylish & chic too!

1. Shambala Fuerteventura
⭐4* Aparthotel | 📍Location: Parque Holandes (near Corralejo) | Check rates & availability
This stunning modern complex is located in the quiet neighbourhood of Parque Holandes, around 15 minutes drive to the busy resort of Corralejo.
If you want a place where you can completely chill out & enjoy a seriously relaxing holiday – this is definitely going to be the place for you.
All apartments at Shambala are eco-friendly, fully equipped & you can choose whether you want a sea view, pool view or even a rooftop!
Facilities wise there’s a swimming pool, yoga & mediation rooms, a gym, massage services & a gastro pool bar where you can enjoy your breakfast and lunch in the sun!
On Booking.Com it’s rated 9.2 overall & couples in particular rated it 8.4 for location!
Tip: We 100% recommend hiring a car if you’re staying here, especially if you want to explore more of the island, as the location is a little bit away from most things. The great thing is they have free parking! 🙂
2. Altavista Aparthotel

If you’re planning on venturing further south in Fuerteventura, be sure to check out Altavista Aparthotel in the bustling resort of Morro Jable.
These beachy-themed, bright apartments are only a stones throw to the nearest beach, shops & places to eat.
We would definitely book a sea view apartment with a balcony if we stayed here as the sea views look absolutely amazing!
I love the look of the rooftop sun terrace as well – perfect for an evening cocktail watching the sun go down.

BONUS: this aparthotel is adult’s only! (our favourite type of stay lol!)
3. R2 Higos Beach
⭐3* Aparthotel | 📍Location: Costa Calma | Check rates & availability
R2 Higos Beach is one of the places that’s top of our list to stay the next time we visit Fuerteventura.
It’s located in one our fave resorts on the island – Costa Calma, & has been recently renovated into a seriously cool & modern aparthotel.
The apartments are all freshly decorated & look like they have everything you’d need for the perfect self-catering holiday! Plus there’s even the option to book one with it’s own private plunge pool – YES PLEASE!
What really attracts us to booking here is not only is it new but they have a STUNNING rooftop bar overlooking the ocean & of course it’s location – literally just a 5 min walk down to the beach & close to local shops.

4. Buendía Corralejo Nohotel

This one’s for the couples who want to stay somewhere still super chill, but within walking distance to lots of shops, bars & restaurants.
The funky Buendia aparthotel is situated in Corralejo, which is one of the most popular & livelier resorts on the island!
I love that there’s lots of different options for staying here – from apartments with sea views, duplexes with private terraces, & even accommodations with independant entrances via the street.
If you want to really embrace the chilled out atmosphere of Corralejo, mingle with other adventurers, try a spot of surfing or just really relax – Buendia is deffo the spot!
