What To Wear In Vancouver in June

We recently came back from a 9-day trip to Vancouver, Canada & oh my goodness I didn’t want to leave!
I used to live there on a working holiday visa in my twenties, so I knew that the style in Vancouver is quite casual – ie: I was not bringing fancy dresses or high heels (which I never wear anyway lol)
You’ll find people there are super active, so are often in sports gear, ready for a hike, game of pickleball or a walk around Stanley Park!
People are definitely still fashionable, but in what I’d call a cool, casual & effortless way.
It can also rain quite a good bit, so Vancouverites are always ready for a change in the weather!
I actually only had hand luggage so I packed quite light & then I bought a few things whilst I was there.
So without further ado here are some of the outfits I wore in Vancouver for the 9 days we were there in the hopes that it will give you some inspiration for your own trip! ๐
Weather in Vancouver in June
We went from 22nd June – 1st July, which we thought would be very sunny the whole week.
Unfortunately we were met with mixed weather lol, from cloudy & rainy days to very hot (almost unbearable!) sunny days.
Temperatures ranged from I’d say about 18 degrees to highs of around 23/24 degrees. When we were leaving near the end of June, start of July – the weather looked like it was rising into the high 20s from then on.
So be prepared even at the end of June that the weather can be changeable. Bring a light jacket, make sure you have a pair of trousers & a jumper packed.
Check your weather app before you go – & who knows you might get super lucky & get a whole week of sunshine! โ๏ธ
DAY 1 (travel day)
Airport Outfit
For me, comfort is KEY when flying – especially on a long flight like Dublin to Vancouver!
I just wore a comfy striped T-Shirt & grey jogging bottoms from Primark. I brought a jumper as well to keep cosy before getting on the plane!

Arrival Outfit
When we arrived into our apartment we just had a rest then went out for a walk to get some groceries!
I popped on some comfy cargo-style jogging bottoms and a basic tee. Then opted for my trusty white vans (as they go with everything!)

DAY 2
The sun came out for us on Monday so we went for a walk around Canada Place, down by Coal Harbour & went for some lunch!
I wore a cute fruit print vest jumper & comfy pull-on denim shorts from ASOS which was a perfect outfit for the weather this day.

DAY 3
Daytime โ๏ธ
On Tuesday we headed to the outlets down near the airport, so again I just wanted to wear something comfortable!
The day before I’d bought these red shorts in a shop called Ardene on Granville Street (love that shop!) & then I wore a navy print top I got in Bershka!
Evening ๐
That evening we were just meeting one of my old friends for dinner at Cactus Club, so I chose to wear this denim playsuit from Mango with my trusty Birkenstocks for a dressy but still casual look.
Day 4
Daytime โ๏ธ
Today was a visit to Granville Island which was going to involve a lot of walking – so trainers were a MUST!
I actually got a new pair of MTE’S in the Van’s store at the outlets, & I’m so glad I did! They were really comfy for walking about.
It was slightly overcast with a bit of rain so I opted for a long sleeve jumper which still kept me cool & some cute denim shorts.
Evening ๐
This evening was a Whitecap’s game with our friends, so I went for my new barrel jeans I bought from ASOS, a black crop top & some checked vans! The perfect outfit for a football game! (and of course you could have went even moreeeee casual for it!)
DAY 5
On Thursday we took the bus up to Whistler & sadly for us the forecast was rainy AND cold.
And it wasn’t lying lol.
I’m glad I wore trousers in the end, I had a black vest top underneath my jacket but didn’t even have the chance to take the jacket off lol.
Trainers were also a good shout as we walked around the town for a bit then did an easy hike to Lost Lake.
DAY 6
After being in Whistler the previous day we needed a bit of a chill-out day, so we just got the skytrain over to Olympic Village/Main Street area & had a chill walk about.
I just wore the same outfit as I did on Day 3 (T-SHIRT | SHORTS | VANS) as I just couldn’t muster up the energy to put anything else together! ๐
DAY 7
We went back over to Olympic Village to have lunch at my favourite spot – CRAFT beer market. If I could go every single day I would!
It was sunnier today so I got my shorts out again & paired it with a white crop top.
At this point I was wearing nothing but my Van’s trainers because they were SO comfy I cannot tell you.
DAY 8
My best friend was coming down from Kamloops today to see us, & the weather had suddenly brightened up & it was HOT!
The Birkenstocks came out again & I popped on a floral crop top (old New Look!) & my denim shorts.
We went for lunch in Kitsilano then came back & had drinks in Tap & Barrell at Coal Harbour!
DAY 9
Daytime โ๏ธ
Our last day – BOO!
We planned to meet my friend back in Kitsilano for brunch & again it was a scorching hot day in Vancouver.
I hadn’t got the chance to wear this cute playsuit yet so this was my last chance! It was perfect for a summer’s day wandering around Kitsilano.
Evening
On our final evening we decided to do the 2 & a bit hour walk all the way round Stanley Park for the sunset – so I just popped on my sports shorts again for a more ‘active’ kind of look!
As we walked round a bit it did get slightly cooler so I brought a jumper just in case!
Highly recommend this walk if you’re visiting Vancouver – the views are so so beautiful all the way around!
