To get there from Belfast direction, turn off the Belsize Road onto Kirkwoods Road. This will turn into Duncan’s Road as you pass the barracks. You’ll see a housing estate on your right, then turn down Stockdam Road on the right (a small tree-lined road) then left into the car park.

During the winter months it’s fairly quiet & we’ve rarely seen the car park full but do be aware that during the summer it could be a bit busier!

Map Of Duncan’s Park
You’ll see this map when you enter the park, showing you the trails, woodland areas & the small lake/dam area.
Like we mentioned in the intro, it’s not a huge place – but on warm day it’s a lovely place for a quick stroll with a friend or to get your dog their daily walk!
We usually walk round it twice – it probably takes around 15-20 mins to walk round the whole park once!

Is Duncan’s Park Dog-Friendly?
YES! You can bring your dog to Duncan’s Park.
Although it’s not a huge park by any means, it is still enjoyable for a short walk with your fur-child!
Do watch out for the swans & ducks around the water – the swans don’t like to be barked at lol!
Also bear in mind there are a lot of dogs off-leash here & it’s quite a narrow-ish path all the way around.
However we often bring Luka here on the lead & he isn’t too bothered by other dogs going past!
